This software application allows you to produce video recordings of your driving trips.
It runs on the following Nokia phone models: 3250, 5320, 5500, 5700, 5800, 6110, 6120, 6121, 6124, 6210, 6220, 6290, 6650, E50, E51, E61i, E63, E65, E66, E70, E71, E90, N71, N73, N75, N76, N77, N78, N79, N80, N81, N82, N85, N91, N92, N93, N93i, N95, N96, N96-3, N97.
The phone running the application should pe placed in a holder that leaves the camera unobstructed. We recommend universal holders that can be adjusted to fit various phones. You can find a selection of such holders in the accessories section.
To avoid draining the battery by the long running of the video camera, it's recommended to keep the phone connected to a car charger. The application will also notify you when it's running low on power.
The application starts in recording mode and allows you to pause or end the recording.
Upon ending the recording, you're brought to the trips view, which shows the most recently recorded trips. From there you can play, archive or delete selected trips.
Given the limited amount of storage available on the phone, the application will keep only the most recent few trips, subject to settings, and it will free space for new recordings by deleting the old ones. Any trip can be preserved through archiving.
To optimize the use of storage, the application supports multiple video frame sizes and quality levels, and also supports storage on both phone memory and memory card (if available).
The video recordings also have soundtrack. If a phone call happens, the soundtrack gets muted for the duration of the call.
The application handles pressing the side buttons of the phone, that could inadvertently happen when it's placed in the holder, to prevent the loss of focus.
Play movie in - allows choosing between portrait or landscape, for larger viewing area
Keep most recent - the number of most recent trips to be kept on storage. Choose a small number if space becomes an issue.
Store video to - phone memory, memory card or let the application determine automatically where it best fits.
Video frame size - sizes supported, depending on the phone model. Bigger sizes will look better when viewed in external applications (videos can be exported through Gallery), but will take more space.
Video quality - quality supported, depending on the phone model. Better quality will take more space.
